Toby Keith to Trump-Haters: “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military…”

Progressives who have constantly opposed Trump have also badgered country singer Toby Keith, forcing him to give an apology for his performance at Trump’s inauguration on Friday. Sadly for them, Toby does not react to bullying lightly.

However, this sort of response should not be surprising to all who have followed his career. With patriotic hit songs like “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” and “American Soldier,” Toby Keith has a loyal and faithful fan base scattered throughout the country. Toby has been a straightforward and blunt of this country’s military and does not get upset if this fact bothers someone.

Toby Keith not only agreed to be a part of the “Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration” but he also told Entertainment Weekly the following: “I don’t apologize for performing for our country or military, I performed at events for previous presidents Bush and Obama and over 200 shows in Iraq and Afghanistan for the USO.”

Even though Toby is not a registered Republican and he even acknowledges that he is registered as an independent since it keeps people out of balance. During a discussion Toby recently had with the Chicago Tribune, he said:

“I was a Democrat my whole life. They kind of disowned me when I started supporting the troops, then I went and registered Independent. I’ve never been a registered Republican. It just keeps people off balance. They don’t know what to think.”

However, Toby did perform at the Republican National Convention, but he said that he would’ve done the same if Democrats won the presidency, if he was asked. But, that was not asked of him, and it seems that Democrats are only worried when he performs for those they oppose, just another liberal double-standard and hypocrisy.

Fortunately, Toby is a patriot who did not chose to perform at Trump’s pre-inaugural ceremony due to political convictions but because he loves his country.
