Hollywood has had it’s fair share moments in the spotlight. But this year it seems that every time a Hollywood A-lister gets on stage, they use their time to bash President Trump.
For example, in the speech heard ’round the world by Meryl Streep and the 2017 Golden Globes. Streep was honored at the Golden Globes for a lifetime of notable work, and she took the opportunity to make a sustained attack on US President-elect Donald Trump.
In a nearly 6-minute address while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the actress denounced Trump’s campaign rhetoric and criticized him for mocking a disabled reporter.
As the audience of Hollywood stars and executives sat in silence, Streep said: “There was one performance this year that stunned me. It sank its hooks in my heart. Not because it was good, there was nothing good about it.”
Kellyanne Conway and Donald Trump have both proved that the alleged mockery was taken completely out of context. President Trump took the high road and stated in an interview with the The New York Times the following morning that he was “not surprised” by the criticism from “liberal movie people,” pointing out that Streep was a supporter of his defeated rival, Hillary Clinton.
Trump continued, “I was never mocking anyone,” Trump told the New York Times. “People keep saying I that I intended to mock the reporter’s disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing.”
Since then, many other Hollywood elites have taken every opportunity to bash President Trump. Whether it be at the Women’s March in Washington or on twitter. One example is when one SNL writer took a job at Donald Trump’s son.
However, Hollywood just doesn’t seem to get it. And can’t seem to come to terms with the fact that their beloved Hillary lost.
Sean Hannity said it best:
This is exactly why Hwood is DYING, what a bunch of hypocrites. Sex, violence, and drivel rule hwood. Turning the channel. https://t.co/jZVRviw7jw

Now, the Republicans are calling for a boycott on Hollywood’s biggest night, the Academy Awards. An event which all recipients are sure to use their stage time to unpatriotically bash our President.
Will you join us in a boycott and not watch this year’s Academy Awards to show our support for President Trump?
