President Trump intends to cut $210 Million in Federal funds intended for states that refuses to be in line with federal immigration rules.
Latently put in President Trump’s budget proposal published on Thursday was a firm stance against those labeled- sanctuary cities and their local jurisdictions in which he pledged to punish any sort of refusal of standing in line with deportation officers who enforce the federal rules.
Trump intends to cut back $210 million in federal fundings to state and local prisons that keep immigrants being put there for crimes while residing in the country unlawfully. The Trump administration labeled the program “poorly targeted,” continuing to say that two-thirds of the money is headed to few states, in which California and Illinois, “for the cost of incarcerating certain illegal criminal aliens.”
The funds, given by the Department of Justice, can sum up to be a decent chunk of budgets intended for state, local police and sheriff’s departments too.
