Sarah Palin Just Said Something Surprising About Bill O’Reilly, Is She Right?

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin worked for a while at Fox News and collaborated with former The O’Reilly Report host Bill O’Reilly on numerous broadcasts following the conclusion of her campaign as part of John McCain’s ticket.

Following news of Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News, Sarah sat down with CNN’s Jake Tapper and they discussed the shake-up at Fox News. Sarah Palin ended up saying something quite surprising about O’Reilly and Fox News that caught people off guard.

Said Palin about her seven years of experience as a Fox contributor, using care to mention O’Reilly specifically,  “I used to be with Fox. The corporate culture there obviously had to change. Women should not ever have to put up with any kind of intimidating workspace.”

She continued, “At the same time, if a woman believes that she is being intimidated and harassed, she needs to stand up and do something about it, not stick around for a paycheck for years and years and years — and then, after the fact, complain about what she went through.”

Palin added, “As a strong woman, I say we should feel more empowered than that.” When Tapper asked her if she had ever been sexually harassed, she responded, “I wouldn’t put up with anything that would be perceived as intimidating or harassing.” Palin concluded by saying that females in such circumstances need to “take a stand and get out of the place — or blow the whistle on whoever is the perpetrator doing the bad stuff so that the culture will change. But, obviously, things are changing quickly at Fox.” What do you think about Palin’s comments?
