Democrats have been calling for Donald Trump to be impeached ever since he won the presidential election. On Wednesday, they came one step closer to this goal…
The Daily Caller reported that Texas Rep. Al Green became the first lawmaker to caller Trump to be impeached on the House floor on Wednesday.
“Mr. Speaker, I rise today with a heavy heart. I rise today with a sense of responsibility and duty to the people who have elected me, sense of duty to this country, a sense of duty to the Constitution of the United States of America,” said Green. “I rise today, Mr. Speaker, to call for the impeachment of the President of the United States of America…for obstruction of justice.”
This came after a report surfaced claiming that Trump asked former FBI James Comey to back off of his investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The White House denies that this ever happened, but Democrats have completely latched on to it.
